Method 1: By the use of the Keychain Access

Keychain access is an inbuilt mac app. It stores all your WiFi passwords so that you don’t have to remember each and every password. If you want to know your WiFi password using Keychain access you only require your Macbook administrator username and password.

Step 1: Open the Keychain Access app. If you don’t know where to find it you can also search in the spotlight.

Step 2: Go to passwords, It is located on the left sidebar.

Step 3: Search the name of the wireless network you are looking for the password.

Step 4: Open the wireless network.

Step 5: You have to enter your administrator name and password again.

Step 6: Now you can see your saved WiFi password

Method 2: Terminal onMacbook

The terminal is an in-built app in the MacBook. It also allows you to control your mac laptop using command prompts like DOS.

Step 1: Open Terminal app, You can also search it in the spotlight

Step 2: Type command, Command should be in this following way

security find-generic-password -ga WIFI NAME | grep “password:”

Change the WiFi name section with the wireless network name you are looking for the password.

Step 3: Tap on Authenticate. Once you enter the command correctly, You have to enter your username and password.

Step 4: After you authenticate your username and password, Your WiFi password will be shown under the Command you previously entered.
